Two JL 10w3-D4 - Dual Voice coil - running in parallel coils and series speakers bridged at 4 ohms.
I didn't lose any seating - still plenty of room for your feet for 2 full size adults!
Boston Acoustics 6.5" midrange in Doors - Had to build a custom spacer out of MDF.
Boston Acoustics 5.25" in Suicide Doors,
Boston Acoustics 2" Tweeters in Dash,
Boston Acoustics Passive Crossover powered by two channels of the JL Audio 300/4.
Eclipse 5441 Cd Player in Dash.. $40 plastic "Pocket" from Nissan.
Hope this helps any of you that are designing a sub box for a King Cab!

Looks good, though I'm not a big fan of the pocket. Plus that's a little bit more usuable than my design.

Well out of all the styles I've had in mine. (refer to the www link below) I've found pointing them up with a vented box to be the best. And while Sony subs are decent... there's a lot more on the market.
To help with the box, answer these questions.
1.) What type of music do you listen to? (rap,rock,techno...etc)
2.) How loud are you looking to have it? -bass fill in crystal clear -some thump on demand -I want to rattle everything in sight
I've been doing stereo work for over 7 years now. And this is a basis that is the best to start with. I've seen too many people end up with something they didn't want, because they didn't know exactly what they were getting themselves into. And a salesman took advantage of them.

If I were to rate my system - I'd say "Some Thump On Demand"
I really love to hear the Boom-Boom Bass when I want to, but for the most part - I usually have the sub turned way down, and I like the sound of the mids and tweeters..
My system is set up for ALL TYPES of music.. No overwhelming tweeters or overwhelming bass.. If I could afford it, I'd love to add a 500/1 for just the 10's and run the 300/4 to just the mids and tweeters... However - that amp is $500!!

Believe it or not... those 4 12"s are a mix of ALL 3. The way it's wired they have a nice clean crisp thump for rock, techno, etc. But I can rattle everything with rap or test cds. That's what I love about Memphis M-Class

(I'm sorry... i really dont mean to thread jack.... i promise.)
That is kinda what im looking for... an all around sound. I was told to stay with sealed for crisp sound. I do like to rattle things now and then, but I listen to everything from Static-X, Linkin Park, Lil John, Tim McGraw, techno, house.... and sometimes I listen to oldies like the Beach Boys and such. You can literally find every kind of music in my CD cases. So, as for that,..... my system has to be multi-talented.
(Crutchfield has got a great deal right now on alpine, called "get hamrd") I may be switching to alpine's DVC type R 12's, with seperate V-12 mono amps. I just cant figure out if my electrical system on my little 2.4 can handle it. I want all my stuff to match.... im retarded when it comes to that, and i just bought a $500 alpine head unit, and now all the sony xplod stuff bothers me. And I mean, HELL, if im going out of the way to put really nice stuff in my truck... i might as well, go all out... so, I will need a better box than prefab Q-logic. I dunno, I may just go with one 12 if alpine can sound as good as my two 12's did.

Alpine is nice and all... but when it comes to subs, A LOT of other companies have them beat.
I play linkin Park on my system (my cd is just about like yours)
This is what I'd recommend. 1 12" DVC... and a decent powered D class amp. Throw that in a vented box, and if your sub can handle it, you'll have clean thumping bass.
Otherwise, I'd go with 2 12"s, in a sealed box, and a higher powered D class amp.

Hey guys, next time you think about adding in a single din stereo. Try finding one of these before you get that ugly pocket.
This is out of a 91-94 Maxima (usually GXE trim) A lot better than getting a open pocket design.
