Hey everyone I just had best buy install an avic d3 in my 2005 frontier. However, there is a gap between top and bottom of navi. They did a bad job and say there is no solution, i.e. no trim kit, etc... Does anyone have an avic d3 installed in a frontier???? If so please post pics and explain to me if and how it's installed so nice.

I personally installed my AVIC D3 into my 07 Fronty. I was not satisified with the finished appearance either. There is a black plastic trim ring that goes around the bezel of the radio, then the Fronty's console goes over that.

It was a pain to get that all together, and it left a gap which I can't stand. I went to the craft store, bought a piece of heavy black felt, and using the plastic trim ring as a template, made a surround that fit tightly to the bezel of the radio.

Reinstalled the plastic ring, then the felt, then the Fronty console. Looks PERFECT now.
