Hello forum! Newbie here from the volunteer city, Knoxville TN. My real name is Mike, I'm 52 and a machinist for a company that makes railroad turnouts (switches).

I've got a 2002 Frontier King Cab, 4 cyl, 4 spd. auto. It's a stock driveline truck but I've done a few things appearance wise to personalize it but nothing major. I love my truck!

I bought it 2 years ago from the original owner who took good care of it, only had 79,000 on the ODO when I got it, now has 104,000. The only thing other than maintenance I've had to do was put in ball joints and sway bar bushings.

Looking forward to lurking around here and getting to know of few of you!

..

Welcome to the group from Texas and hope you enjoy the site.

We haven’t had much ‘Off Topic” or bull shooting on this site. Seems Most people joining here just want the members to solve there problems then never come back. I believe it’s because none of us have meet eye ball to eye ball.

I’m a Railroader from back in the days of steam power. Santa Fe, Fort Worth & Denver and Rock Island Rail Roads. I still have my “switch key” and Super Chief passenger uniform. Here’s a photo of my Great Grandson and I over looking part of the massive railroad (115 turnouts) we operate today.

Have a good one.. Don S..

Thanks for the welcome Don. That is an awesome layout! I've always wanted to get into model railroading but I just don't really have the room.

My father and grandfather were both railroaders, Grandpa was a brakeman for the Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis RR as well as Louisville & Nashville later on. Dad was a machinist for both RR's before switching to the aerospace industry in the late '50's.

Hi, Jackie!

I couldn't help but notice in your signature that you're from Tullahoma. My hometown! T.H.S. class of '79, Go Wildcats!

I left T-town in '95 but still have a soft spot for my old home!
