Any suggestions for replacing tires on my 2001 Frontier. The tire size is 265/55r17 Firestones but I do not like them. I notice that this is the only manufacturer in this size. I am looking for suggestions and anyone that has experience. This is the 4x2 model.

I too am looking. I have a 2001 4x4 SC crew cab. I am settling on the Cooper Discoverer. The size is the issue. To meet the stock size, 245/70-17 is just about the same. To move up about 1.1 inches, I can go 265/70/17.

I am also looking at new wheels, and they would be a set of Moto Metal 951B in 7x9.
