I have been searching the forum for info on this topic
with out any success ....
Pleas help....has anyone done or has any info on
converting a 2001 Frontier 2.4L manual to a 3.3L auto.
I have a 2002 Frontier Desert Runner 132k miles with a
totaled frame & body. Was wondering if i could swap
everything over into a 2001 Frontier 2.4L with a bad
motor. The body & frame look the same. I was planning on
swapping interior, complete drive train, suspension, under
hood wiring harness, and computer.
Does anyone know if the dash wiring harness is compatible
2.4L to 3.3L.
I have build several nissan trucks over the years, but
never tried to interchange 4-cyl body & chassis to 6-cyl.
thank you for all your help and info

ST,
If it were me, I would talk with an OLDER Nissan Master
Tech that had experience with the Gen 1 Frontier's to see
If/What problem's there may be.
It seem's to me that this would be a Good Transplant to
Fully investagate to save money, but I don't have any
experience to justify my thinking.
The Dash Wireing is another thing to think about as well,
so this need's input from an Experienced Gen 1 Technician
IMO.
Good Luck,
