Hey guys(and gals) -- newbie here looking for input on the '03 SC. I'm
looking for a car for my 21 year old daughter and found one for sale. The
only problem I'm aware of is that at 123k miles, the timing belt hasn't been
replaced. The local garage I go to with my other cars was quoted by a Nissan
dealer at $1200 for this (including water pump, seals, etc).

A tech at this shop told me to stay away because of head bolt problems on
the supercharged medels. Is this a known problem, and are there other
problems I should be on the lookout for?

The tb job w/ water pump is a 5.5 hr job + approx. $150 in
parts(including 2 cam seals and fr crank seal). Sounds like
someone is committing robbery. I would get some more
estimates. Never heard of a head bolt problem w/ this
model.
