After I bought my truck in april of this year I had the turn signal
switch replaced because the fog lights would cut off when I put on
my signal. The dealer covered it and replaced it under used car
warranty..well first thing is its not one for my truck because it has an
auto selection and my truck doesn't have auto lights.I thought ok no
big deal to turn the selector an extra click. Recently when I put my
right signal on it doesn't cancel out when I bring the wheel back
around. I assumed all parts and service were covered under a one
year warranty but the service rep basically told me to kick rocks and
they wont honor that because I didn't pay for the repair they did. Is
this right? I've never heard of such a policy. I've been a very loyal
customer and this doesn't seem like a fair practice

Believe me I made my frustration quite clear..I actually just
received a phone call saying they were going to honor the
warranty and replace it for me. A savings of $250 according
to him

Replacement parts are warranted for 1 yr/ 12 K miles. The
dealer may have put in a "used" part, due to the fact it
isn't the correct part. I have an "auto" headlite switch
that I installed in my 08 for the fog lamps, it functions
OK.
