I'm considering a 2011 KC 4X4 SV or PRO 4X and have a few questions.

I'm debating between a 6 Man and 5 Auto. I don't mind shifting - I've most always had manuals. So convenience of the Auto doesn't mean much to me. Surprisingly, when I configure comparable trucks with Auto and Man transmissions, the auto is 154 lbs lighter than the man. I would have thought the auto would be slightly heavier. Is this correct? Any other thoughts on why one or the other is better? Does the Man get significantly better mileage?

How much difference is there in the ride comfort between the SV and the PRO 4X? I'm not sure if I'm going to find a PRO 4X to test drive in my area anytime soon.

Finally, how do parts prices for the Frontier compare with something like a good ol' Chevy or Ford or Toyota?

Thanks for any comments

So - to answer some of my own questions:

Edmunds was spec'ing the manual 154 lbs heavier than the auto. The Nissan site shows the manual being slightly lighter, which i would normally expect.

The sales people tell me the pro 4x is maybe just a little harsher or bumpier riding under some conditions but not a whole lot different.

Didn't find any real detailed info on mileage.

I ended up getting a great deal on a KC 4X4 Auto SV with hitch and bedliner - bright silver. The auto transmission is great - really smooth and to me it makes the truck feel more solid and more powerful. Wish they had more color choices. I'd really like to see it in their tinted bronze or a nice gun metal color.

You will be very happy w/ the auto, the 6 spd in my 08 is
the worst man trans I have ever had. As far as parts, they
don't need any, it's a NISSAN!!!!!!!!
