I've only had my 08 Frontier crew cab since July. It has
been back to the shop 4 times to get the tire pressure
warning light put out. How can i disconnect the light or
disable the system to do away with it. The light is on
now, if the pressure moves 1-2 pounds psi either way, it
comes on, and it is a pita.

Is the lite coming on due to low pressure(too high will not
turn the lite on), or due to no data???? There is a TSB for
leakage at the sensor seals not to mention you may have a
pin hole leak that someone has overlooked. Sorry Boomer, I
would not ignore it.

I answered based on his system going off after a 1-2 pound change. Have seen too many of these suck up peoples time and money for nothing at all. I still use the old pressure stick and check mine every two weeks. I feel safer that way.

..
Mine were filled with nitrogen five years ago when the BFG 31x10.50x 15s ATs were installed new. I carry a good gauge in the glove box. But I haven’t checked them since. They all still look the same, the wear is even and if I did anything to them I’d reduce the pressure for a better ride. But the really good thing is… no TPS! Yup! I know they have their good points But I’m Just sayin’…. But I carry Electrical tape any way.
I look closely at my tires each and every time I get in the truck!
Have a good Blue Bunny day.. Don S..

I USED TWO STRIPS ABOUT ONE INCH LONG OF BLACK ELECTRICAL
TAPE TO COVER THE STUPID LIGHT, AFTER 7 TRIPS OR SO, I GIVE
UP. OUT OF SIGHT OUT OF MIND, I CHECK MY TIRES AT LEAST
ONCE A WEEK.

My TPS works, just when I think it is broken, I find a low pressure tire, at around 31 PSI

I had the light come on too, I did in fact find a couple of tires low. I was wondering (I'm new to frontiers) How does the system actually work? Can you put different wheels on it without the light coming (and staying) on?

You would have to take the sensors out of the wheels that
are on it and install them in the different wheels or get
new sensors and have them registered to the vehicle.
