On the Trails in the Colorado Rocky Mountains (I've been doing 26 years) you'll be wishing for an automatic. That is if you are doing several trails a day. Typicaly a trail will switch from smooth 30mph to absolute low range grearing where manuals need to use their starters in order to save burning the clutch.
After you go up the south side of Taylor Pass late in the day and in a hurry to get back to camp you'll wish you had an automatic.
Automatics have a Tourque multiplier at low RPMs.
Mud Sucks, Sand eats fuel, water rots bearings... ROCKS RULE!
Have a good one.. Don S..
I have a very active case of laziness but I’ve been trying to slow down!
We’re only at the top of the food chain as long as the diesel trucks keep running.
