Just bought my granddaughter a 4x2 stock '04 2-door XE (King Cab?) with 51,000 miles. It's very clean inside and out, and the engine (4 cyl.) sounds solid.
The only thing I notice is a constant slight engine vibration at idle. The tach shows about 700 rpm at idle with AC off. Seems like the idle should be a little smoother. The idle is not rough, meaning it doesn't have a heavy miss, but it's not nice and smooth. It's such a constant minor vibration that it could be one bad spark plug wire.
Anyone have any suggestions? Also, is there anything else I should be on the lookout for?
Thanks,
Jim M.

Injector cleaner, clean and tighten all engine grounds, throttle clean , base idle adjustment, check cap and rotor(use only genuine NISSAN), if plug wires were bad - would show a CEL and misfire code. Anybody else have an idea? Hope this helps. PS the KA24DE was not real smooth at idle anyway.
