The rear passenger side seat in the KC has provision for
mounting a child seat. Those rear seats look pretty
small ... it is really possible to fit a child seat for
a small child in that rear seat?

I've never tried, but from everything I've read, the answer is basically NO. There may be some exceptions, depending on the design of the child seat. It may also be possible to get one in with the front passenger seat all the way forward.

A child seat will fit, but not well. I've done it a couple of times and I don't feel like it's very safe. The forward attachment is fine but the seat slides when I take a turn. Seems like they said it would fit just to make a selling point, when the reality is that it doesn't seem safe.

The only approved way to mount a child seat is on the passenger front seat with airbag deactivated. Back seat is not supposed to be used with any type of child seat.

Looks like the girlfriend will have to sit at the back
