I know that subject is clear as mud, but I have a fairly new to me '07.  I've never had the bed rail inserts out (the black things that slide into the rails).  I hauled a treadmill over the weekend and broke off some kind of stops or something that was holding them from sliding back and forth.  Now the inserts slide back and forth when I accelerate and brake.  They only slide about 6 inches or so before they hit the tailgate, but it's annoying.

Anybody know what I broke and how to fix it?

Thanks.

Mine slide about 1 inch so it is possible your covers were cut at some point.  You could try using those little "lock" thingies that just bolt on.  They came with my tie down set.  If I were you, I would just cut a small piece of black foam and squeeze it in the track.

Good luck.

I found 4 little black square pieces in the bed that look like they were broken off the rails or something.  I can't find an exploded parts diagram on the internet so I guess I'll have to go with my last resort and ask the dealer...

They're a molded part of the rubber slide protectors. They are at the very end of the part. They can't be replaced without replacing the whole protector. If it bugs you that much take them off and add a little black RTV where the stops where and let it dry overnight before you reinstall. That should give enough friction to keep them from sliding.
