I've been talking with a dealer about buying a 2008 Frontier LE 4x4, and expect to make the purchase soon. There is one small hold-up -- for the use I have in mind for the truck, I want to mount a receiver for a 2-inch hitch at the front end.

A few local truck-parts retailers said that there is not one available yet for the newer Nissan Frontiers. The bumper looks not very solid, so it can't be expected to bear weight. I might have to have one welded underneath.

Has anyone been down this road -- I'm looking for advice or even a product recommendation. The new Frontiers pose a few problems for such additions -- it was also hard to find a utility rack to carry a ladder above the bed. The new Utili-Trac system, and the absense of stake holes, preclude the use of most racks out there.... Thanks.
