Im finally going to purchase my first new truck, a 2007 Frontier NISMO Crew Cab 4X2 and was wondering whats a good price I should shoot for? Since some of yall have been through this before, Im curious to hear yalls opinions. Dealer quoted me at 24,500 which included floor mats and a sliding bed extender. Is this a decent deal? Thanks

Look through kbb and edmunds to find out what people are paying for that kind of truck in your area (yes they have new vehicle averages).  Also know what fees you have to pay and what ones you don't...you do not have to buy the window etching "theft protection" some dealerships will/will not make you buy the dpp (desert paint protection, might be called something else)  Anyways a lot of those fees fees are optional.  You can save yourself about a $1000 or more but just eliminating those.

Do you have a trade involved?

thanks, no trade involved. The dealer quoted me 24,500, and thats with TT&L, nissan rebate, and internet rebate. So thats the drive out price. Each rebate was taken off a base MSRP, so the invoice price was never involved. I think they might be able to go lower, not sure.

kbb= 25,300

edmunds= 23k with rebates, 24,600 is what others are paying.

So is there any way they will go down close to invoice price, and if so, will they take the rebates off of that price?

That's pretty fair if that is the OTD price.  Make sure they don't hose you on financing.  Go to a credit union and get pre-approved for that amount and find out what interest rate you apply for.  Finance managers will often hold points and or give you a higher rate than you qualify for.  The extended warranty is a rip off too, unless you have no idea how to work on a truck.  Just watch your back with finance.

Just keep in mind that new nissan and toyota trucks have very little mark up.  If you were buying used there would be some room to move.  I think that price is pretty fair, just make sure you get rid of that other crap they put in the deal.

You may be able to get more money off though.  You have to play the game.

Are putting any money down?

Well, we settled on 22,400 plus TT&L.  It seemed like a good deal to me, and the truck only had 10 miles on it
