You know, if the people who ever stole a car, joy ride it around and crashed were ever caught.  They should be strapped to the portion of the damaged area on a similar car, and have the crash recreated.  Then they could feel this hurt they put on these poor innocent cars first hand.

The views of this moderator do not express the views of Nissanfrontier.org or it's owner... yada yada yada, nor does it condone vigilante justice.  Please contact your local police department concerning possible vigilante laws in your area, because you never know, maybe they wouldn't say a word if you strapped the theif to the front of a car ran him into the pole.  This moderator cannot be held responsible if you were crazy enough to do such a suggestion.

I just love those law statements, sad part is some of the stuff they write down was because someone went out and did it.

..

... Through countless centuries cruel punishments and incarcerations have failed to deter the average would be criminal.

An example:

Before the advent of the guillotine the French would hang a criminal by the neck but not dropping him to break the neck. Then, so hung, build a fire beneath to make him ’dance’ while slowly suffocating. Crowds of French citizens would come to the hanging bringing there picnic lunches and enjoying the show. Cruel punishments and incarcerations do deter most intelligent would be law breakers.

... Perhaps allowing victims of a criminal act un-chaperoned access the to the perpetrator of the crime would be a much stronger deterrent. An eye for an eye type thing!

Have a good one, and Carry on .. Don S..

Isn't that how it works in some countries? You know, if you're caught stealing you get your hand chopped off.

in those countries tho, it isn't the victim chopping off the hand of the criminal it is a third party acting on behalf of the state
