hahahaha, alot of people have built race trucks out of frontiers.

mostly navaras though. just look online its easy...

and as far as lowering your idle the only thing you can do, is get a grounding kit or make your own. its simple and cheap and will get rid of your rough idle. but you dont want it to idle lower? its idling so it can keep everything in your truck running right, and get you to where you want to.

lol you could cam it? that will get it lower. but with a v-6 or a 4cyl will most likely be loud and sound like sh*t.

Good ole Muscle Car Chug...

There's only one real way to get the RPMs to idle lower, and that is to have the ECU reprogrammed.  Cams will just make it sound like it's lower, but it just has a longer lope to it.

Now if you had an older Frontier and seems to idle above 1000 RPM, you might want to look at replacing some sensors, or cleaning them.  Usually cleaning the MAF sensor, and replacing old worn out 02 sensors will get you running better, and a tune up will keep it running smoother allowing you to sit at a lower idle.  But being an 08, those really aren't options.

As far as race truck... LOL... anything is possible with $$$$
