So I'm sure I missed when looking, but I'm curious what the biggest tire I can fit on my fronty is..

2003 XE - Non supercharged -

What was put on before I got it:
235/75/15

What the spare is:
265/70/15

What I would ideally like:
30x9.5x15

Is it possible to put that on the stock alloy XE rim? (the dark charcoal colored ones)
If not, whats the highest metric tire size? maybe 265/75/15? I was hoping for bigger..

Thanks guys!

BTW, I have my eyes on a couple different brands...

I saw the Wrangler MT-R and fell in love... but have heard up and down reviews.

I like how the BFG ATs look, but I hear they're not the greatest in rock/mud conditions, so I'm kind of looking for more of a winter (utah snow here) and summer (MOAB!!!) tire... and the BFG's are just WAY too expensive for my tastes right now... Im looking at a max of 180 per tire.. and thats if the wife will even let me!

There is a shop here called Big O Tires, I'm not sure if they are nationwide, but each shop is locally owned, and they have their own brand of tire.. the Big O tires... and I like the big O XT and MT tires, but I don't think I can sweet talk them down on those prices, simply because I can't show quotes from other tire shops, ya know?

Anyways.. look forward to the responses!

Dannyg here I belive that a 265-70-15 is a 30-31in tire and those 235-75-15 are like 27-29 on who makes them. there is a conversion on 4wheelerparts.com. Now to tires Copper, dakota, wildcat, toyo. Heck check wallmart out. One better go to tire rack.com to get info on your tires

Well as I said, the spare is 265/70/15 and my current tires are 235/75/15.. and all I noticed is maybe 1/4 of an inch height difference, and about 1/2 inch width.. so I'm wondering what size is really applicable to my truck?

I want to get the biggest, fattest tire possible without doing any lifts or mods... as money is really tight right now, but my tires are going bald.. so I need to at least get some good ones, and I might as well get what I like if I'm ganna have 'em for a while.

The 265-70-R15 tires (what's on your spare) are what came with the truck
originally.

I am in the same boat as you right now...shopping for tires without trying to
break the bank...I think the biggest you can go without a lift and other
issues is 31.5x10.5 on those rims. That is what I am going to go for. BUT
that Big O tire should be able to tell you what the largest size will fit your
truck. I am going to call a nissan dealer and ask the parts department when
I get REAL close to my new tires...I am probably a couple more weeks out.
