Im looking for a good way to lift the rear of my truck ive talked to different shops and most of them recommended to add another leaf. Most of them said that adding a block just like, PRG, CAlmini etc. is not good. Now my question has anyone here added a lift block to raise the rear of thier truck? What did you use? Did you hvae any problems with the E-Brake lines or any issues at all?

Thanks in advance!!!

shouldnt have a problem unlesss you are lifting more than 6 inches. Deaver makes leaf packs for the nissans that lift the vihicle and make the ride much better than stock off and on road, lift mine 4" with leaf pack from deaver, they will make you anything you request

Thanks for the reply. Is deaver the same as adding another leaf?

Nald,

sorry for late reply, been busy week up here. No, its not quite the same, the deaver leaf pack requires removal of the stock frontier load leaf, then the deaver leaf pack is a progressive 3 leaf pack that will soften the ride as well as lift the frontier, the ride on and off road is much better and noticeable. By removing the load leaf and adding the deaver pack it 1. lifts the frontier and 2. makes the leafs handle weight proportionaly throughout the entire leafs.

This was how it was explained to me and from looking at the after install and then looking at the stock  frontier load leaf it made sense and i can tell the difference.

What about air bags, like Firestone Ride-Rite?  I've ordered some for my '07 CC, but have been waiting months for them to get the right ones in.  Gord

I have 3.5" of lift using a combination of 2" add-a-leaf and 1.5" lift block, both from PRG Products.  Checkout their site at www.prgproducts.com and give Greg a call.  He's a really cool guy and will answer any question you may have on suspensions.  He does this fulltime for Nissan trucks and SUV's.

If you lift the rear more than 2", you will need longer rear shocks as well.

..

Pep Boys stock several types of shock extenders.

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

Laws such as the use of corn ethanol are driving up the cost of living (have you been to the grocery store lately) without driving up wages. This equates to a lower standard of living thanks to Agro-lobbyists and corrupt and/or ill-informed lawmakers

uptravel is not the issue.  you run the risk of fully extending your shock offroad, and maybe suffer some ride quality.  but if you are just going for looks then this won't matter to you and you won't mind the ride impact.

Both the calmini and fabtech lift kits include longer rear shocks.  CST also says this when installing their kit "Two CST Performance shocks will be equired with the use of a 2” lift block to ensure proper travel and enhance stock ride quality."

So to the OP, talk to your installer about shocks as well when you are planning your lift.  Also keep an eye on the length of your brake lines and especially watch those ABS lines cause they are expensive to replace.
