Death Valley

Pic of my Frontier in Death Valley - Thursday, May 10, 2007

I have had my Frontier for 11 months and have over 31,000 miles on it... My only complaint is the ground clearance.....

Anyways....  Has anybody got some actual numbers on how lifting the Frontier impacts the gas mileage?

..

2006_FrontierLE;

... Most people lifting a truck are putting taller, heaver and fatter tires that will reduce fuel mileage. The lift will cause extra air turbulence under the truck dropping fuel mileage (at speed) even more. Air Dams reduce the amount of air getting under the truck.

Here’s a link to a Full Size Jeep article but it applies to most vehicles.

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

Corn Ethanol:  Our government is hoodwinking Americans and making a few people rich. We have a 50 cent per gallon tariff against importing ethanol and subsidize our ethanol refiners 54 cents per gallon with our tax dollars. And using Corn Ethanol is driving food prices up! Have you been to the grocery store this week? Another case where corporate lobbyists make the laws!
