With polyurethane kits, a spacer is installed BETWEEN the coil spring and the top of the strut. That puts preload on the spring which noticeably stiffens up the ride. But probably the worst thing about the poly kits is they are known for over-extending the strut causing strut failure. Don't just take our word, look on numerous Frontier forums on the web. Many have experienced this problem with the poly kits because the fact of where they install in the strut. Our kit WILL NOT cause strut failure !! With ours, you simply unbolt the strut from the vehicle, install the steel spacers on top of the strut and bolt everything back up. RIDE QUALITY IS UNCHANGED UNLIKE THE OTHER KITS ON THE MARKET.
