I had just gotten off the plane coming from overseas. My wife meets me at the airport and as we're walking out to the truck with my 3 heavy bags. She starts saying "yeah you should see the back of the truck"
OMG... SOME ONE HIT ME... nope. South Dakota took a shot at me. There was so much snow, and it got so heavy that my bed cover collapsed. Never had this problem till now. Anyway here's the pic. Sorry it's so crummy. My digital camcorder is better at videos than pics. I had to play with the brightness to get it to come out.
Anyway, I'll take pics as I'm repairing it. So you guys will get an idea exactly how much a pain in butt this thing can be to install. Also, I'll take the pictures of the usual items that must be maintained.

you know the nice WET heavy snow you guys get down there... yeah a lot of that. Usually it's just powder up here.

Just lack of air, and snow. 
You should come up here when you get a nice 3 day weekend. Ellsworth is only 6.5-7.5 hours drive. (depending upon which way, and how fast )
Then you can say you went 4 wheeling in the Black Hills

That might be a good idea since I'm getting stationed at Buckley.. I'm definitely planning on checking out that area of the states when I get there. I've been in the south since the beginning of my career and I've seen plenty of the south so it's time to venture to the north, right?

Yeah... I'll trade you. My parents are in TN... plus I'd love to go back to the humidity. The only place I've been since I got here to Ellsworth has been a back to back Deployment to Iraq and Afghan... oh how much fun that was.
Actually... where I was at in Iraq was fun... Afghan sucked. (messed up aint it?)

I actually heard that Iraq was pretty intense in a fun kind of way... I wouldn't know though because I only get deployed to Qatar...
When I get to Buckley it's going to be a four year controlled tour... no more deployments.. I would gladly trade this job here for yours.. The humidity is the reason I can't hang... I'm still not used to it and I've been here for three years.

I've been here over 3 years. Kirkuk was a lot of fun. I was doing the Escort duty. 4 on 1 off. Couldn't get any better than that. Plus I had my own Nissan Crew Cab to drive around since I was Staff Select.
