I have a 05 CC V6 SE 4x4 manual 6-speed. It is not the
OFFROAD edition.
How aggressive can I be when off road? What is my truck
capable of handling? Can I lift it a little, add knobbies
and put on a snow plow attachment?
And, if I install a tow-ball on my rear bumper (not an
actual hitch), how much can I tow?

Sorry but I somehow missed seeing this post until now.
Never be aggressive off road unless you have a truck
built for it. The rear axle really is not up to handling
the full power of the V-6 engine so it will be prone to
failure.
The overhang and bumper at the rear is another problem. I
lifted the rear more than the front and removed the
bumper on my '99 so I could do all the 4x4 trails in the
San Juan mountains in southwest Colorado.
Larger tires will provide better ground clearance but
reduce your crawl ratio.
You have the learn (sometimes but I was lucky) 4x4's can
go twice as far before they break or get twice as stuck.
Good Luck.. Don S..

approach it like the gym. Don't go all out at first. Start
small and work your way up. You can probably do a lot
without breaking anything.
Just air down your tires a bit and put it in 4wheel drive
when you start the trail....BEFORE you get stuck.
