I own a 1998 Nissan Frontier, has 225,000 miles on it (it runs perfectly fine, the only thing that I needed to fix was having the radiator fan/clutch replaced 2 months ago). However I wanted to change the coolant but the problem is is that I can't find the drain plug.

I read the 1998 owner's manual (http://www.nissanextendedwarranty.com/owners-manual/nissan/ 1998-Nissan-Frontier.pdf)

And it illustrated that the drain plug is located on the bottom right side of the radiator, so I slid underneath my truck to find it. Much to my surprise, the entire area from the A/C condenser to the back of the engine is covered in metal and leather.

A second idea I have was to just open the engine compartment, reach in and pull off the lower radiator hose, but even then, the space is too confined for me to see where the clamps holding the hoses on are located.

Did you guys have the same issue when trying to change the coolant on your frontiers?

O hey guys nevermind. I just finished the job today. I realized that the leather was just held on by these little plastic "christmas tree" fasteners, so I used a flathead screwdriver to pry them out. And then I used a philips screwdriver to remove the drain plug.
