I just purchased a 2001 frontier 4dr 4wd with 3.3 non s/c. It overheats at idle when level or facing up hill, but not when facing downhill. It is full on coolant, blows lots of hot air, and cool right down while moving. Any ideas???

Also I read the codes and it comes up with emmissions (I believe it to be a O2 sensor) and with a knock sensor code.

Any help?????????

try changing out your thermostat and flush your coolant.
