well the fact of the matter is the 3.3 V6 from nissan wasn't ever a super efficient engine probably mostly because the truck is fairly heavy for it's size, I know my 01 CC SE is almost 4000 lbs, i believe it's around 3800 something, they are listed for my year at 16 city/19 highway, however i know that I average over 17 mpg and i do predominantly city driving. the only mod i have on my truck right now is a K&N drop in replacement filter.
Now I'm not sure if you have the V6 or the 2.4 4-cylinder, the latter is listed as 20/24 for fuel efficiency. have you done a calculation to see what your mpg for the last tank was or just the number of miles you drove. there are a number of things that could be causing you to have low mileage, but first you need to calculate what you normally get, is the 220 w/ a quarter of a tank left normal for you or is this your tank of gas with a truck that's new to you? what i like to do is keep a small notebook in my truck and right down the specifics when i fill up (tho i haven't been very good about it recently), the milage on the odometer, then my trip meter then calculate the mpg you got on that tank, then just keep it up, i also use it to write in maintanance that i do, such as brakes, oil changes, things like that so you have a record of when you did it last. i guess the first thing to do is to figure out what your normally avg for your milage and then post it, if you think it's low you can always take it to have a tune up and see if that makes it better. just a suggestion i'm sure others will have a little more insight
