2000 Frontier 2.4
Stopped for gas, restarted it and now it have a miss.
What I’ve done so far....
New plugs
Swapped injectors around.
Ohm out injectors. 8.6 on all
Swapped plug wires
Noid light on the injector harness.
The injector harness is firing.
The plug wire is firing.
The spark plug is firing.
It seems to have good compression. Haven’t done a compression test,
but when it runs with the plug out, it blows alot of pressure.
Pulled the valve cover to see if anything was broken or missing.
Check the distributor reluctor wheel, looks good.
Everything is as it should be.
Still have a miss...anyone with the same problem? Any ideas?
Going bald rapidly.

Try a little upper lube. It might be sticky valves.
I have run a little Lawn-boy 2 cycle lube in several engines. Like 4 or five oz per tankful
It has worked for me in my Jeeps & Nissan's.. Don S..

I guess the exhaust valve could be stuck. Kind of odd that it happened
all the sudden.
Tried a can of B12, 2 cans of brake cleaner and a bottle of octane boost
through the throttle body. Poured a good part of it thru the vacuum
booster hose too.
Fouled out the plug badly, replaced it.
It actually started to run on all 4 intermittently for a few minutes and
light throtttle. As soon as it came to a stop at a light, it was back to
missing.
Took the EGR off, clean as a whistle. No carbon, barely even dirty.
Are there known problems with the pickup in the distributor?
I’ve searched every forum, post, video I can find and still can’t find
anything on the problem.

Also....all the injectors ohm out at 8.6-8.7...everything I’m reading says
they should all be at 11-12

I also used Pennzoil synthetic out board oil. Like Lawn-boy oil it is extremely heat resistant and will work well between hot worn parts. When put in the fuel it continues trying to do it's job. I first did this in 1957 in a 1950 Cadillac. It took about a week! That engine died in 1964(rip)...
I've used it in a lot cars and trucks.. Don S..

I’ve heard of running ATF in the fuel too, but mostly in Diesel engines.
Going to give the 2 cycle a try.

Have you verified the injectors are spraying fuel?

So it’s fixed....don’t ask me how or why.
I replaced the cap, rotor, wires and cleaned the distributor and MAF.
Pulled the entire injector rail, and as frontierguy suggested (mad
props), verified the spray on all 4 injectors.
Blocked off the EGR at the exhaust manifold with a nickel.
Put everything back together, and now it purrs like a kitten.
Go figure.....don’t care how or why, but it runs right now!

Was there any residue in the distributor, under the
plate? If memory serves me , there was an updated dist.
to prevent the residue. Clean it out once in awhile is a
lot cheaper. Glad it is running OK. PS Hope you used
Genuine Nissan electrical parts and Nissan air filter!

You might want to keep an eye on it at 140,000 my
distributor went out the bottom bearings one warm up to
screws up the timing. Just one more thing don't go to
Amazon and buy the cheapest distributor it only lasted
400 miles get a good one. My truck never threw any codes
on this problem it did put it in limp mode
