New owner of a 2013 Frontier SV four cylinder King Cab and also new to the forum.
I am having a problem with the transmission. When taking off from a standstill, almost immediately after applying the gas I get a noticeable, and annoying "bump". It's almost as if there is slack somewhere in the transmission that is being taken up when applying gas.
It doesn't happen every time and does not appear when starting slowly. I do not drive aggressively but it seems to rear its ugly head when starting out at normal acceleration.
The mechanic at the dealer checked this out by driving a similar model on the lot for comparison. Since the dealer truck that he drove did the some think they declared it to be normal.
I have a friend that drives a 6 cylinder Frontier and another acquaintance with a 4 cylinder. Neither of these have this issue.
Any ideas what is going on or what my next step for resolution should be? I have driven a lot of vehicles and have never experienced this issue on any of them.
Help!

Have you driven any other trucks yourself to verify. Be
sure to drive one exactly equipped as yours is, don't
compare a 6 to a 4 cyl, etc. Years ago there was a similar
problem with the 2wd vehicles due to the extra long drive
shaft and my 59 yo brain can't recall the exact fix for
it. I would visit another dealer if possible.

Went back to the dealer and the service manager let me drive another new truck. However, it was not an SV but did have 4-cylinder but 15" tires insted of 16". It did not appear to have the problem.
Service manager rode with me in my truck and of course, similar to going to a dentist with tooth pain, it did not show a problem. On my way home there were plenty of times that the trouble was there.
I think I will return to the service dept and let the manager drive it for a longer duration. Manager reitereated that they will take care of problems and if needed refer to upper level support from Nissan.
Bottom line is there is only 2200 miles on the truck and I am not willing to put up with, or get used to, this problem.
Looks like I will become very aquainted with the service dept.

When I get a chance I just may visit another dealer as suggested for a second opinion. It's a few miles away.
