Good to see someone has joined the fight with me. Nissan really needs to step-up and get this handeled. I send the about five emails everyday asking them to own-up-to their defect and quit decieving it's customers. Of course I get know reply...

Mine has been out of the shop for about a week now and seems ok, but they need to get the good part and get if fixed... If my wife and I are in a wreck because of this defective part, Nissan USA will have a new CEO

Mine is a 2006 SE/ CCab Auto 2WD V6. Glad to hear you have had no problems, hope you never do. This is a real pain in the ass to deal with, especially with a new vehicle.

It sounds like a problem with the CCabs [fingers crossed]. Mines a KCab. I can't figure out why one would have the problem and the other wouldn't. The only difference between the 2 is the shorter bed and longer cab. I would guess everything underneath is the same. I do have 4X4 though, maybe they beefed up the front end on the 4X4? Is anyone having the problem on 4X4 models?

It maybe just the SE /CC. However, I agree with you, you would think the steering column would be the same part in all of the Trucks/SUV's?. Who knows, maybe I will never have anymore problems out of it. I'm not counting on it though, I wish they would get a recall done. They have had this problem with more than 4 vehicles sold from my dealership.

I just sent emails to 2 of my local news channels Consumer Call For Action departments. I detailed the problems I was having and the concerns I was having about Nissan's's lack of concern for it's customers safety.. I will keep everyone posted..
