I have noticed recently a slight whinning noise while driving at slower speeds and goes away when you stop. Truck doesn't act any different just a little annoying. Anyone have this problem or know what it could be.

How slow of a speed?  Through which gears?  Front or rear?

It almost sounds like a power steering whine, but when you turn the wheel it doesn't get worse or anything. I would say I only hear it with the window down and about 25 mph and under. I may just be nit picking, but I don't ever remember it doing it before. It is just annoying to me

hard to say, it could just be the transmission.  My Highlander has a whining noise through 1st gear.

I mean it is not to disturbing like something is going to brake or anything, but I know it wasn't making that sound before and now it is. I don't know. I guess I will just keep an eye on it and see if it gets worse. Thanks though

Mine does the same thing (06 v6).  As far as I can tell it's coming from around the driver's side rocker cover/timing chain cover.  I don't know what it is, but it's done it for months now with no noticable deterioration in power/mpg and it hasn't gotten worse.

It's RPM related only and is most noticable at slower speeds.

I had something similiar happening to mine ('05 CC Frontier).  One day, the whine became constant and much louder.  At that point, you could definitely tell it was a belt.  Took it in and they said a pull had broken.
