I have a king cab 2003 4 cyl. AC was not cool at all so I put a can of coolant in it and in does put out cool air but compressor kicks in and out all the time? I checked the low and high side pressure and when I idle it up to about 2100 rpm the high side gets dangerously high around 400psi? I was told to try changing the orfis? But the frontier has a expansion valve. Should I try replacing the valve? If so where exactly is it located? I have drained the system of all Freon and ready to do something. Any help would be grateful.

It would be best to evacuate the system to draw out any
moisture, then properly charged w/ the correct amount of
freon. It is also a good idea to clean the rad and
condensor from the back side forward, you would be surprised the amount of dirt and leaves that accumulate
over time.
