I have a 2001 nissan frontier 2x4 that is in dier need of new tires. However, I want to put oversized tires on them, but want to e a 2" lift. Does anybody know of an easy way to do this?! Maybe Rancho Shocks in front and lift block underneath my leaf springs? is that the way to go? Please let me know anybody, it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

..

Some folks crank up the torsion bars 2 inches. I would not!  I cranked mine 5/8 inch and put one inch blocks in the rear. You might have a problem locating longer spring/axle bolts because if like mine they are square.. not shaped like a U.

have a good one.. Don S..

I added a leaf in the rear to allow me to get another 1000 lbs or so of payload and a couple of inches of lift.  I can't decide to go with spacers in front or adjustable shocks myself.

I have been looking into this for two months. I ran into a guy locally that used 3" blocks in the rear of his 03 and also used what he called timbers to help with a heavier pay load. For the front he cranked up his torsion bars to add the three inches...the truck looked damn good. I asked him about the ride and he told me it didn't change much and he has had it like that for years with no problems.

He did tell me that you have to change all the stock shocks and go with longer shocks...the brake lines he did not have to modify..

Honestly...I think it would be best to just be the kit that Calmini sells. Considering that you are getting all those new parts for the front end and four new shocks it really is a good buy. If your truck in in good shape that it is a worth while investment I believe.
