Hi, all.

New to the forum here, and I own a 2000 Frontier King Cab 4cyl.

My problem is that the factory seat hurts my back and I was wanting to replace it, but cannot find very specific info as to what make/model/year has a more confortable seat I can switch out without doing any of modification to the seat mounts. I hope I do not ask too much by saying I don't want to pay dealership prices.....I just want to be able to go to a salvage yard and find something a bit more comfortable that can bolt straight in to the cab.

I have seen in other posts that it may be possible to swap out altima or prelude seats, but I would like to know if anyone has actually done this, or what would be your recommendation?

Ordering aftermarket seats is a no-go unless I can try before I buy, and there seems to be nothing very local in Northeast Florida (Jacksonville, Middleburg, Gainesville area), which is why I would rather go to a salvage yard (not to mention the cost.....I'm on a super tight budget!).

Any and all help is very welcome and greatly appreciated.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Thanks in advance.

Your local salvage yard should be able to tell you what
will fit or go to car-part.com and select your vehicle and
part, it will bring up all the possibilities for your
vehicle.

..

I pulled the cover off the seat back and carved the foam to fit the curve of my spine a little better.. It's the best mod I've done to my truck. I carved it with a very large, very sharp Bowie knife.  Do a little at a time. If you goof you can glue it back.

Have a good one.. twice! Don S..

Carving would probobly not work, since I really need to add foam in strategic places, and I'm not too skilled with a knife.

The link I tried didn't seem to have anything locally I could try, so I may need to stick to a junkyard.

If I want to change out the seats in my king cab, what years of trucks or pathfinder would bolt up?  The local auto salvage yard said that they can not cross ref. seats in different years and models, surprisingly enough.
