do i have to go to the stealership to get a filter for my truck? i tried to buy ! when it was around 50k and couldnt get one. now at 133k i still cant find one. havent tried the stealership yet. theres no issues with it. just dont want to have any issues either. its my wifes truck and i dont like getting phone calls with truck problems when im seven hours away working. its a 04 cc frontier, v6 auto

The filter is a metal screen, easily cleaned while still
installed with brake cleaner. With 133K, I would be very
concerned with disturbing varnish buildup, unless you have
been doing regular fluid services.

i havent touched the trans at all. i know i should have. its time for a lot of work that i have been putting off. its had a small water leak where the upper hose goes to the thermostat. just been putting it off.
