I just registered/came on to begin looking into this issue myself. My truck does the same thing! Never noticed until these past couple mornings since I recently installed my remote start. I have no heat either until I get into the throttle a little bit.
I was thinking it may be related to coolant, but the level looks fine. Could a bad thermostat act this way, or the fact that it only gets cold at idle elimates that idea? I'll try adding/checking the coolant level again and post back.
Frontierguy, what part of PA are you from?
