My 2001 Frontier 4cyl wasn't cooling very well last Friday. Got under the hood to discover there was a tiny leak in the middle of the AC hose high side hose.

Over the weekend I bought some hose reapair tape and a can of refridgerant to recharge and during the process noticed another leak around the bushing of the same hose closest to the condensor. Now mid week the low side barely has 18 psi and the compressor isn't engaging at all.

I'm thinking about buying both low and high side hoses ($150) and replace myself. Now I'm no automotive expert so can someone point me in the direction as how to proceed to get someone to evacuate the line and recharge the system? Is this something a place like jiffy lube can do or do I need a full service auto repair place?

Is there anything else needing to be considered?

Considering the unit was fully operational last week am I somwhat safe to assume that all other parts like the dryer, condesnor etc should be fully functional?

Even though winter's coming up here in Texas I'm trying to jump on this as neglecting it over the winter I think I would probably be looknig at a full AC system replacement.

TIA!

Should be done by a certified A/C repair facility. If not,
have the refrigerant recovered, make the necessary repairs,
have the system evacuated, replenish oil, recharge.
