I have an 07 2wheel drive V6 Manual frontier and I have just installed the factory Trailer wiring kit I purchases from Courtesy Nissan.  My Trailer brake lights and turn signals work fine, however the trailer tail lights do not come on.  I have no volt to the brown wire on the 4 pin harness or the pre wire on the frame.  I have been reading service manual and the trailer tow section shows 2 trailer relays in the engine compartment between the battery and relay/fuse box.  My truck does not have this.  I need to get the trailer lights working any help is greatly appreciated.  If I have to I will splice into the tail light or license plate wire but I would prefer to get working with out doing so.

Go to your Nissan dealer and get the relays-one blue and one brown one, don't have the part #'s at this time.

Thanks for the quick response,  I have read on another forums that there is additional harness and relays to activate the running light.  I have looked under the hood sever times this evening but can not seem to figure out where this would plug in.  As I stated in the FSM there seems to be another small relay container that my truck does not have.

I thought the relays were behind the passenger side kick panel!

I have already installed the relays behind the kick panel.  There are 3, 2 Blue and one brown per the instructions as my truck is a manual trans.

Just looked at my 4WD, the there are several relays in the box behind the battery as well as several fuses in the IPDM E/R. Don't see many 2WD Frontiers.

I have spoke to 3 Nissan Dealers Acme Nissan"s recommendation was to bring it in and we can charge you to fix it.  Pine Belt Nissan was going have a tech call me back that was Weds never heard from them.  Courtesy Told me they have sold tons of the 4 wire kits and never heard this problem.

I have looked under the hood multiple time and there does not seem to be any place to put additional relay or fuses.  I there another fuse panel under the dash, I have not had a chance to look yet.

This has got me stumped I really do not want take it to a dealer to have them charge me and then tell me that they do not know because we have never seen a 2WD SE 6spd.  (I have fun finding it when I bought it new.  There were 3 in the north east)  Going to keep plugging away at it and worse case I am going splice into the plate light and be done with it.

go to a place like pep boys or vip

go into the trailer light section

they have a plug in device that plugs in between the wire going to the back of the truck and the taillight harness

it has a 4 wire plug coming off of it,  and a converter for the amber sig lights

worked great for me

I had the same issue last month. What I did is I cleaned my ground wires. I also made sure that they are on the perfect bare metal. Try to do my solution and I hope it will help you.
