When my fuel gauge shows near empty I fill up and it only takes about 17 gallons even though the specification shows that the tank holds 21.1 gallons. I have a 2010 Frontier LE 4X4 automatic. Anyone else experience this?

The manufacters set the gauge this way to help keep from running out of fuel.

Mine takes about 18 gallons when empty, I also have a 2010 LE.
My 2007 was the most accurate gauge with just 1.5 gallons left in the tank
when reading empty, my 2005 was just like the 07 until I had the fuel
sending unit recall done, after that it was like my 2010!
