Hello all,

I have a 2000 Nissan Frontier, 5speed V6 4x4.  About a year ago I had a "full" tune up:  new plugs, wires, cap.  I had this done due to rough running, jumping motor while accelerating, and it worked.  Now I'm experiencing a "bump"/"jump" while I'm cruising at highway speeds, with light to moderate acceleration on the motor (going up a hill.)  The check engine light isn't coming on during this event.  Could this be caused by "bad" gas, or is something wrong with the ignition system.  Should I change any other components of the ignition system.  The problem seems to be more active when the motor is warm.    Currently the ABS light is on, but I assume that doesn't have anyting to do with what's going on now? (Maybe)......

The ABS light was on WAY before this issue.

...thanks for your time.

Brian

Were the parts installed Genuine Nissan or aftermarket? Does the tach jump during the incident? Has the fuel filter been replaced lately? Air filter aftermarket or Genuine Nissan oil impregnated filter?
