I can get the 4x4 light off, but when I shift my main transmission from neutral to drive, I'm still stuck in neutral? I solved this problem before, but I'm stumped for some reason today. Can anyone walk me through this?

You have to put it in Reverse for life 3 feet and it will
shut off.

I have a 2004 Nissan Fronteir XE V6. My problem is getting my truck to
engage when I shift out of 4x4. I disengage from 4 wheel drive by
shifting the 4x4 shift into neutral, the light goes off and my standard
shifter is still in neutral. Problem is when I try and shift my standard shift
back into Drive or D1 or D2, the truck is still in neutral? I know this is a
dumb question, this happened to me before and I solved it. But for some
reason, I haven't figured it...

Thanks for your help...

Why are you putting the 4WD into neutral instead of 2 Hi?? If the 4WD is in neutral, you are not going anywhere. And yes, you should back up a few feet to disengage after shifting to 2 Hi.< id="gwProxy" ="">< ="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" ="">
