I replaced one on a 94 Pathfinder with the VG 3.o engine.
It is tight, it can be tricky. Took about 3 hours, and I did the timing belt while I was doing the water pump. If I remember correctly, the water pump is behind the timing belt. I did hear to use extreme caution when taking off water pump to ensure you do not get the timing belt wet.
