I was in Tahoe last week the temps were in the teens, I did not manually lock the doors, but they locked on their own. At home, in warmer climate in the garage, the truck never locks itself.
Does cold weather have any effect on the truck locking itself?
Thanks

I know the FOB's are very sensitive for my truck, just putting it in your pocket and barely pressing the lock button will lock the doors. On several occasions I have unlocked the truck from inside the shop, walked out to the truck in the parking lot and the doors would be locked????? I think if it doesn't see a door open it relocks?? Just haven't had the time to investigate the logic if the system.< id="gwProxy" ="">< ="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" ="">

I do agree the FOB is sensitive, in fact when I get home, I carry it in my hand and set it on my dresser ensuring I do not touch the buttons. I will take a look at it later on when I get the chance.

Thanks

Another thought, has the master switch ever been subject to moisture getting into it by leaving the window open during a rain storm??? They are very sensitive tiny processors as opposed to the old style switches. < id="gwProxy" ="">< ="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" ="">

Where is the master switch on the Frontier? Driver side door? The only time I open the window is for toll bridges, which is very rare. Also I had a similiar issue with my 94 Pathfinder, if the engine was running and it was cold outdoors, and the door was closed, it would lock all doors. I ended up getting a hide a key for it just for this reason. It was too risky being locked out of the car, especially when the engine is running.

The master switch is the one in the drivers door. Started my truck after work today, pulled it up next to the building, went in finished cleaning up,etc., came back out, got in truck realized w/s had some ice on it, got out, scraped w/s, went to get back in truck, LOCKED!!! Man was I pissed, luckily the parts guy was still there and cut me a key. I've had customers complain about this, but have never been able to verify or duplicate the concern, thinking they were doing something wrong??? I even tried to do it again on my truck, thinking I hit the lock lever on the door or something, couldn't do it. I guess I'll be calling Nissan tech line on Mon to see if they have any answers.< id="gwProxy" ="">< ="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" ="">

So we have 2 things in common, cold weather, truck running and doors being opened and then closed.
Would be interesting to hear what Nissan has to say.

I will be getting a hide a key ASAP!

Another question is the Nissan tech line a dealer only line or can the general public call as well? I imagine if Nissan gets enough calls the will issue a TSB...

Look in your owners manual, there is a number to call for concerns, but not the tech line. Even if you had the tech line # , you need a daily changing password only available thru the Nissan ASIST system.< id="gwProxy" ="">< ="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" ="">
