Help, I just got a U-haul hitch installed on my 2008 Nissan Frontier.  Hooked up my trailer today and checked the lights.  They worked fine.  Drove down the road and used my signals but they only blinked once!  Nothing worked afetr that.  I stopped and disconnected the lights and re-connected them again.  They worked properly on the truck and trailer for that first attempt only!!!!  After I shut off the signals, the lights would only blink once...  Thare has got to be some type of relay that someone on here knows about that I have no Idea of....Please help!!!!!

Did U-haul install the harness also????? If so, remove it and install a Nissan harness which goes behind the RF kick panel with 2 relays for auto or 3 relays for man trans models. If they installed the harness in the back, it's most likely hacked in with scotch locks or some other crap -Nissan harness plugs into 2 connectors in the LR frame rail.
Seen nothing but problems with aftermarket trailer harness installations!!!!!

Where did you get the "T" connector from?  Is U-haul gonna install it?

Try to recheck all your fuses. You either have old bad bulbs somewhere in your trailer or a little short circuit. If you cannot find where is wrong, try to ask professional help from expert people.

If you're not using a plug-n-play harness (like the one available from Nissan), you're asking for problems. Scotch-locks are worthless, and if they cut & spliced the wires, make sure they are sealed properly (with heat shrink, not electrical tape) and that they ran a proper ground (normaly white) wire.
