I've got my 98 Frontier put back together and it will start for about 5 seconds and then stall. I'm thinking I may have the lower chain off by a tooth.
The original lower timing chain only has 1 alignment mark on it. How may links are there between the first mark and the second mark?
The upper cam sprockets have 2 marks per sprocket. Does anyone have picture or procedure on how this should be timed? The chain has 3 marks and I matched two of these marks with the outer cam marks. The third mark I matched with the mark on the idler gear.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks for you help!
