My 2007 XE with low miles and use has the material on the driver's seat base starting to "pill" and is looking worn.  Nissan replaced the seat back under warranty already as it was wearing badly around the piping.  My brother in law has a 2008 SE which has different material but it also is wearing badly.  Does anybody else have this problem?  The material does not seem very durable.

I have and '07 XE too and the material at the base of the outside upper bolster on the driver's seat is worn smooth while the underlying foam is kind of flattening out. I've had seat wear problems on previous trucks as I'm in and out of them a lot on my short trips, so I kinda expect it. I figured I would wait until the 36 month bumper to bumper warranty is about up and then see if I can get Nissan to warranty it. If not, I'll just deal with it myself and have an upholstry shop repair it if it gets too bad. It's not there yet.

Have about 60k on my 05 and have kept seat covers on almost the whole time, I recently took them off and can already see wear. Nissan uses some pretty cheap seats, mine is hard as a rock and actually has metal bars in the back close to the surface of the foam from the factory. I was kinda disappointed in the level of discomfort especially after the bumper to bumper ran out. The factory seat covers are fairly easy to get off so I plan to open em up and see what I can do about shaving off the top of the foam padding and adding some memory foam.I am only doing the driver side the passenger is still new. Gotta watch for seat sensors though.
