i have a 08 nissan frontier crew cab se 4x4.my problem is today the "service engine soon"light came on and won't shut off.I There is only 5100kms on it and was just serviced in aug at 3000kms.i checked the gas cap..is there anything else i can do to clear it before i bring it to the shop,as the dealer is 3hr drive to and 3hr drive back.

also will it hurt anything if i leave it for 2 months until the next service

As long as it is not flashing, it won't hurt anything, most likely a fuel level sensor, vcv or some other emission related failure.
