Recently ran out of gas,the gauge stuck just below a 1/4.  Nissan replaced fuel pump / fuel pump assembly.  Thought the problem had been fixed.  1st time after repair guage showed below a 1/4.  This past weekend on a long trip it appeared to have stuck again.  Then it dropped to just above E.  The strangely climbed back up to just below 1/4.

Has anyone else experience this problem?  And if so how were you/nissan able to fix it?

Ronnie here my Nissan 4x2 is having the same problem, so is my sons, he has an 06 nismo,, i have an 06 se, mine started the way yours does, but has gotten worse, i took my in under warranty they could not find anything, now that it does it all the time, my warrant is off.  I think it is the fuel sensor.  Me and my son have been trying to work with Nissan to see if this is a wide spread problem, that they should fix under a recall.

Gang... Back in 1899... Opssssssss Back in 1999 (you guys with your new trucks) there was a recall on the electrical connection at the fuel tank so you might check it out. Corrosion might be causing bad readings. If that doesn’t work then try adding 8 oz of Pennzoil or Valvoline two cycle outboard oil to a full tank of gas one time. It is a lubricant and can improve many things in the fuel system and also clean the combustion chamber, plugs and valve stems. Works for me.

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

If something I’ve posted on the Internet wrinkles your underwear please ignore it. If you don’t know how to ignore something on the Internet e-mail me and I’ll demonstrate!

My 05 has just started doing the same thing at 63k miles. I filled it up this morning, but it took a long time register Full. Today it dropped from Full to under 3/4 for no reason. Usually at 1/4 tank it will drop to below empty and the DTE indicator shows broken line and fuel light comes on. I was hoping someone else had been able to fix this and pass it on. Very annoying problem.
