guys, i know that this isn't really a problem, but it is all in the same. I was at work today, I run a restaurant, when I go to leave and go home after my extremely long day, I crank my 2.4L 4cyl 5spd 04 frontier and it sounds like the start of the Indy 500. SOMEONE CUT OUT MY CATALYTIC CONVERTER!!!! I know about the platinum in them, but come on! What makes it worse is that it was cut out just a few centimeters behind the O2 sensor, which now has me worried that I won't be able to just have a new cat welded in along with some straight pipe. Does anyone know about how much (if it CAN be repaired) it'll cost me, or how much it would be for an entire new exhaust system. Also, is there any way to prevent this from happening again, other than hunting this sorry son of a ***** down myself? Someone help me out here please!

well, it turns out that all of the muffler shops told me between 300 and 600 bucks to fix it. I ended up getting one of the shops to just put in a straight pipe, I'll increase gas mileage and horsepower, all for 50 bucks
