I have a 1998 nissan frontier with california emissons. The header is cracked and i dont want to spend 500 bucks on a new one. Has anyone removed the pre-cat setup and installed either headers or federal version with out any problems??? Im worried about the check engine light being on or the car runing like crap.

a better place to ask that would 4x4parts.com's forum. I know the setup they have for the Titan is 50 state legal.

I don't think you'll have a problem with the check engine light.
