Well, this is round two of the leaking rear window.  Took my 2007 back because of the rear window falling out and they took it to a glass shop to have a new one installed and sealed. That was in Oct. of last year within 30 days of buying the truck. Because of all the snow we had this last weekend, snow sat on the top of the truck for a period of about 12 hours before I cleaned it off. I took pictures of the inside of the truck showing the water around the bottom of the back window. Got into the truck this morning and was trying to find a scraper to clean the front window and noticed some of the things I have in the back seat area of the truck were either wet or frozen.

Called the dealer today and got a day I can bring in the truck to get this fixed again. Need to know if I should make them replace the carpet and padding so it doesn't create mold when it starts to get warmer or just pull the carpet and padding and make sure it is dry before re-installing it.

I would have them replace the carpet and padding because staining may occur as it drys and it also may smell due to mold and mildew.

Took the truck in to the dealer again today and they are going to order a new rear window again and have the same people install it. The dealer will also replace the carpet and pad in the rear seat area. Don't know if they are going to charge the window installer for the carpet and pad costs. I know if I was dealing with them I wouldn't pay to fix something they should have fixed correctly the first time.

I had to replace the entire rear sliding window on my '05 Frontier and now I am noticing a leak coming from the top over the rear passenger side. Short of having to have the window removed again and replaced which could lead to more problems, can I run a bead of silicone caulk to seal this one area? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
